Happy Martin Luther King Day everybody! Today we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and the accomplishments he made in making all Americans equal before the law; regardless of skin color.

Today, at 8 AM EST/5 AM WST, Kamala Harris announced a run for president, ending months of speculation, becoming the first real frontrunner to enter the race. She’s currently a Senator from California, and was the state’s former Attorney General. Her record in both jobs can, and already have, been used against her. As the state Attorney General, some thought she was a hypocrite, claiming to champion progressivism while not being a progressive herself(1). As a Senator, she will face criticism for her treatment of a Nebraska judicial nominee, whom Harris said wasn’t qualified because of his affiliation with the Catholic, pro-life Knights of Columbus(2). Still, there’s little doubt that she’s one of the frontrunners, a Senator from as big a state as California. If nominated, she’d be the first major-party nominee of Indian descent. If elected president, she’d be the first female president.

Among the list of declared or confirmed candidates, here’s who I think has the best chance, top to bottom.
